My main research interests are in:

  • Humid heat and associated compound hazards

  • extreme weather in the context of climate change

  • synoptic-dynamic meteorology

In the past, I have also published research on:

  • extratropical transition of tropical cyclones

  • convective environments associated with sea-breeze convection in Florida

  • convective environments associated with severe thunderstorms and tornadoes

  • extreme precipitation events

  • ice storms

My current primary research activity focuses on investigating trends, mechanisms, and compound hazards associated with humid heat, primarily as it applies to the Southeast U.S.
